Government of Kerala Opens Registration for One-Year Apprenticeship Programme under NATS

Fresh graduates and diploma holders looking to gain practical industry experience now have an excellent opportunity. The Supervisory Development Centre (SDC), Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, has invited applications for the One-Year Apprenticeship Programme under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The programme provides hands-on training, a monthly stipend, and a nationally recognized Certificate of Proficiency upon successful completion.

About the Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing one year of practical training in various industries and institutions across Kerala.

• Duration: 1 Year
• Training Scheme: National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS)
• Certificate: Certificate of Proficiency (COP) issued upon successful completion, recognized as valid work experience for employment opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Have completed a 3-Year Diploma, B.Tech, B.A., B.Sc., or B.Com. from a recognized institution or university.
• Have successfully passed all semester examinations.
• Possess the Original Certificate or Provisional Certificate.
• Have completed the qualifying examination within the last five years.
• Not have undergone apprenticeship training under NATS previously.
• Candidates already registered with the Supervisory Development Centre need not register again.

Monthly Stipend

• Diploma Holders: ₹10,900 per month
• Graduate Holders (B.Tech/B.A./B.Sc./B.Com): ₹12,300 per month

Step 1: Pay Registration Fee

Complete the registration fee payment through the Kerala e-Treasury Portal.

• Select Remittance Heads - 0202-02-800-94-OO-OO-OO-N-V Other Receipts
• Enter Purpose - SDC Apprenticeship Registration
• Enter your Name, Mobile NO.
• Click on Proceed
• Click on Proceed for payment

Registration Fee

Note: After payment, save the generated GRN Receipt. 

Step 2: Complete Online Registration

• Visit the SDC registration portal.
• Fill in the online application form.
• Log in using your registered Email ID.
• Verify your account through OTP.
• Upload a self-attested copy of your Original/Provisional Certificate.
• Update the payment details and complete the registration process.

Important Points

• Candidates who have already completed NATS apprenticeship are not eligible.
