To commemorate 70 years of dedicated service by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and to promote greater awareness about its role in safeguarding the nation’s financial integrity, the Directorate of Enforcement, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens and students to participate in the “Online Quiz on ED Day.â€
This quiz aims to familiarise participants with the evolution, mandate, and key functions of ED—from its establishment in 1956 to its present-day role in enforcing laws related to foreign exchange management and combating money laundering under FEMA, PMLA, and FEOA. It will also highlight ED’s contributions in addressing economic offences, preventing illicit financial flows, and strengthening India’s legal and financial systems.
Through this quiz, participants will gain insights into the importance of financial vigilance, transparency, and accountability, while understanding the critical role played by enforcement agencies in upholding the rule of law and protecting national interests.

Each quiz will focus on one theme from the IKS knowledge domains, ensuring systematic coverage of diverse subjects throughout the year. The Indian Knowledge System holds a rich legacy in the fields of mathematics and astronomy. Ancient scholars like Aryabhata, Bhaskara II, and Varahamihira made remarkable contributions that shaped scientific understanding across the world. Concepts such as the invention of zero, the decimal system, and early insights into planetary motion originated in India and continue to influence modern science. This quiz aims to explore these contributions while encouraging curiosity, logical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of India’s scientific and cultural heritage

Under the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) initiative, this theme highlights Yoga as a comprehensive system of physical health, mental balance, and spiritual well-being. The quiz will explore traditional yogic practices, concepts of holistic health, and their relevance in promoting harmony of body, mind, and consciousness in contemporary life.
