CSIR Notification 2026

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has launched a special recruitment drive for candidates who appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 (UPSC-CSE-2024), reached the interview stage, but were not selected (non-recommended). Through this notification, applications are invited to fill Assistant Section Officer posts across 37 national research institutes in the country. 

Details of the Notification

1. Assistant Section Officer - 100 posts

Departments: General, Finance & Accounts, Stores & Purchase

Eligibility: Candidates must have passed any degree from a recognized university. (Only those candidates who appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 (CSE-2024), were not selected, and are listed on the UPSC 'Pratibha Setu' portal are eligible to apply for these posts.)

Maximum Age Limit: Should not exceed 33 years. 

Application Fee: Rs. 500 for General/OBC/EWS candidates; fee exemption for women, SC/ST, and PwBD candidates.

Application Process: Online.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on the CPT (Computer Proficiency Test) and UPSC CSE-2024 marks.
