About the Fellowship

• Fellowship amount per month: ₹80,000 ₹1,00,000 + HRA + Contingency
• Last date to apply: 30 November 2025
• Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades) in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record in all preceding degrees.
• Experience: Fresh Ph.D.’s are encouraged to apply. Candidates who have submitted their dissertation and are awaiting the oral exam can also apply. The position is purely contractual and is open for a period of three years. The initial offer will be for one year.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals to a Postdoctoral fellowship in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, Space Science and Astronomy, Sustainable Energy Engineering, Gangwal School of Medical Sciences & Technology, Design, Cognitive Science, Department of Intelligent systems, Kotak School of Sustainability, Wadhwani school of AI and Intelligent systems. 

These fellowships are also offered in the interdisciplinary post-graduate programs of the institute, namely Photonics Science and Engineering, Materials Science Program, Nuclear Engineering and Technology (NET).
