The Prime Minister's Internship Scheme (PMIS), an initiative of the Government of India under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, is creating valuable opportunities for young people to gain practical workplace experience and enhance their employability. The scheme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by providing internships in leading organizations across various sectors. Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 18-25 years
- Employment Status: Not in full-time employment (subject to conditions) Internship Details
- Duration: 6 or 9 months (depending on preference of partner company)
Rewards
- Placement with organizations for practical industry exposure
- Internships available across different qualifications, sectors and roles
- Certification : Certificate will be issued after full internship completion
- Paid Internship in top companies: 9,000 to 6000 per month during the internship one-time incidental grant
Under the scheme, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 along with a one-time joining grant of ₹6,000. Internships are available for 6-month and 9-month durations, offering participants meaningful industry exposure and practical learning experiences.
The programme is open to young individuals aged 18 to 25 years who are not engaged in full-time employment. Opportunities are available for candidates with diverse educational backgrounds, including:

- ITI Certificate Holders
- Diploma Holders
- Graduates
- Postgraduates
