New Delhi | August 2026: The Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre, an Inter-University Centre (IUC) of the University Grants Commission (UGC), has announced a nationwide campaign to celebrate National Librarian's Day on 12 August 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of the Father of Library Science in India, Prof. S. R. Ranganathan.
The campaign, themed #LoveLibraries #EmbraceKnowledge, aims to recognize the invaluable contributions of libraries and Library & Information Science (LIS) professionals in promoting knowledge, research, education, and lifelong learning across the country.
As part of the celebration, INFLIBNET has invited librarians, faculty members, researchers, students, and knowledge professionals to endorse the campaign by sharing the message:
